Stopping Smoking
How I can help you to stop smoking
No matter how many times you have tried to stop smoking in the past, you do have the willpower to stop smoking and you can stop smoking. In my smoking cessation session with you, I will help you get in touch with your inner motivation and determination to stop smoking so that you can return to being a non-smoker once and for all.
You are unique and I will tailor the session to your specific needs. This means finding out about your motivation to stop, your smoking history, your previous attempts to stop, previous times you have successfully stopped, dealing with any unconscious objections to stopping, and ensuring that you are fully focused on stopping smoking – and comfortable with hypnotherapy and NLP, and the other techniques which might be needed during the session.
A stop smoking session with me therefore usually takes about two and a half hours. You have a free follow up if needed within a month.
…And the great thing about using hypnotherapy and my other approaches to help you to stop smoking is that you will not suffer any of the side effects that may come from using medication – in fact, I specifically set up the treatment so that any side effects will be positive ones like increased feelings of wellbeing and increased control and choice over other aspects of your life too!
Many people have benefitted from stopping smoking. You can too!

Health Benefits
Tobacco smoking causes significant long-term ill health and distress due to a poor quality of life. It ultimately is a cause of death for about half of smokers. From the moment that you stop smoking, you start to benefit:
- 20 minutes after your last cigarette, your blood pressure and pulse begin to return to normal
- 24 hours after you stop, carbon monoxide is eliminated from your body and your lungs start to clear out smoking debris
- After 48 hours your senses of taste and smell improves
- After 3-9 months your lung function will have improved up to 10% and your breathing will be easier
- After 5 years the risk of heart attack falls to about half that of a smoker
- After 10 years the risk of lung cancer is halved, and the risk of heart ischaemia falls to that of someone who has never smoked.
Financial Benefits
If you are buying 20 cigarettes a day, then in the first month of stopping you will save about £300 or more depending on the brand of cigarettes you previously bought. In a year, that is £3,600. So if I charged £3,600 and you stop for a year, I will not have cost you anything. Fortunately, I charge £250, so you will be in profit if you stop for only a month!
Other Benefits
- Your fitness and general health will improve
- Because your sense of taste and smell improve, you will enjoy your food more too
- Your family will be delighted
- You will enjoy the sense of freedom and wellbeing that comes from knowing that you have put smoking in the past
